Minnie's Garden Care is simply a family business. Team of two, husband and wife, Alan & Laura, have decided to develop their desire for gardening by taking it in to the public arena as a small business. Their desire is to provide a garden care service to local residents at an affordable price. Two trustworthy individuals who can be left to work with the minimum of direction, knowing that when you review their work you we be fully satisfied with the results.

Here's our team:

Laura Holford MA (Engl) BA (Hons) 

Affectionately known as Minnie, the co-founder and brains behind Minnie's Garden Care. Laura has lived in New Malden for over 50 years. Three generations of her family have lived in Coombe Vale, New Malden since the 1930's. It's a community that she has enjoyed living amongst, and now she enjoys serving their garden care needs.  Laura has worked in both the private sector and public sector for 25 years. She has successfully completed her Masters course through the Open University. Alongside Alan she has passed the RHS Level II Practical Horticulture Course at Merrist Wood College, as well as the Complete Gardening Diploma incorporating Zen gardening, Urban gardening and Level 2 Diploma in Garden Design & Maintenance through New Skills Academy.

Alan Holford

The co-founder and brawn behind Minnie's Garden Care. Alan has worked in the public sector for over 30 years. Approaching retirement from the public sector he decided to engage with his lifetime love of gardening. He has taken much inspiration from their membership of the National Trust, visiting the beautiful houses and gardens in the region. Alongside Laura he has passed the RHS Level II Practical Horticulture Course at Merrist Wood College, as well as the Complete Gardening Diploma incorporating Zen gardening, Urban gardening and Level 2 Diploma in Garden Design & Maintenance through New Skills Academy.
